For years, prompting has been taught as a hierarchy; a ladder of independence to climb, with "no prompt" sitting at the top as the goal. But bodies with apraxia don't move up a ladder. They move along a continuum, shifting moment to moment based on regulation, motor planning, and what the body needs right then.
In this live session, I'll walk through why the hierarchy model falls short for those with sensorimotor-planning differences, what a continuum-based approach looks like in practice, and how this shift supports presuming competence, rather than measuring progress by how little support someone needs.
Who this is for: OTs, PTs, SLPs, BCBAs, music therapists, spelling/S2C practitioners, communication partners, caregivers, family members, and educators supporting apraxic and motor-planning individuals.
What to expect: One hour, live, on July 31st. There's no dedicated Q&A block, but I'll leave room for questions as they come up.
Sunrise Membership members: included free, with the replay added to your membership library afterward.
Everyone else: $47 for a seat in the live session, or join Sunrise membership for $57/month and get this session, the full library, and every future monthly call, webinar, and guest speaking presentations.
