8 modules of transformative learning
Foundations in Apraxic Autism
A perspective-shifting online course for parents, caregivers, and professionals supporting apraxic autistic individuals.
This self-paced course combines neuroscience, lived experience, and practical strategies to help you better support nonspeaking, minimally speaking, and unreliably speaking autistic individuals.
Our foundational course isn’t just another training. It’s a shift in how you support, connect, and create change—for the autistic individual you care for, for yourself, and ultimately, for a more compassionate, inclusive world.
Because the truth is:
The autistic community doesn’t need more quick fixes or surface-level strategies. They need us—caregivers, parents, and professionals alike—to see things differently.
To recognize that support isn’t about changing them. It’s about changing how we show up. It’s about learning to honor the lived experience of apraxic autistic individuals and offering support that starts with presuming competence, respecting autonomy, and meeting real needs in real ways.
This course will help you do exactly that—through practical tools, meaningful mindset shifts, and the kind of deep listening that leads to actual impact.
This course is designed for:
• Parents supporting an autistic child with apraxia
• Caregivers working with non- or minimally speaking individuals
• OT’s & Therapists who want to move beyond outdated behavior models, & are committed to respectful, competence-based support
In this course, we’ll explore:
• The sensorimotor realities of apraxic autism — understand why many challenges are motor-based, not cognitive, and how that changes the way support should look.
• Motor coaching — a practical framework for guiding individuals through the motor steps needed to initiate and complete actions, helping them participate more independently in everyday tasks.
• Motor loops — learn to recognize when someone is stuck in repetitive motor patterns (whether joyful or frustrating) and how to thoughtfully support them in moving through or out of those loops.
• What presuming competence actually looks like in practice — moving beyond the phrase to real, everyday actions that respect autonomy and capability.
• Regulation and co-regulation strategies that help you navigate overwhelming moments with more clarity, calm, and connection.
• Unfiltered perspectives from nonspeaking and minimally speaking autistic individuals sharing their lived experiences—including the impact of misunderstanding, support, and trauma.

Be the Change: Join the Course That’s Redefining Support for Autism
Supporting an apraxic autistic individual? This course invites you to rethink what meaningful support truly looks like.
It's about seeing the whole person—their strengths, challenges, and unique way of engaging with the world—and providing support that honors their autonomy and celebrates their individuality.
But this journey isn't just about them. It's about you as well. By embracing a new approach to support, you can break through barriers, embrace growth, and harness a mindset that sees possibilities, not limitations, regardless of the role you play in this community. This transformation influences not only how you advocate for them but also how you advocate for yourself.
This isn’t just another course. It’s a mindset shift that transforms how you connect and show up in everyday life.
When we support differently, we initiate ripples that extend far beyond our immediate circles—changing us, our communities, and the world.
ARE YOU READY TO BE A PART OF THAT CHANGE?
“I just want to take a moment to thank you for creating such a powerful and eye-opening course. I am currently on module 3, and even though I am still early in the course, I already feel incredibly moved and grateful for the knowledge you’re sharing.”

ANY OF THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?
01. You Feel Lost and Overwhelmed
You want to provide the best support, but the advice and strategies you’ve tried seem like cookie-cutter solutions that don’t match the unique needs of the person you care for. It’s hard to know if you’re on the right path. It’s disheartening, and it’s wearing you down.
02 The Stress Starts To Spill Over
You’re drained, unmotivated, and struggling to care for your own physical and mental health. You find yourself carrying the weight of your frustrations into other parts of your life. Whether it’s guilt for not doing “enough” or feeling burnt out, the balance between care and personal well-being feels impossible to find.
03 You’re Questioning Everything
Despite your love, dedication, and drive, you question if you’re giving the right kind of support or if there’s a better way to empower growth, both externally and internally, in your loved one or those you support.
Imagine…a new way to support apraxic autistic individuals—one that builds connection, cultivates confidence, and nurtures your growth, too. Here’s what this looks like in your day to day life…

Each success deepens your bond, leaving you fulfilled and confident that your efforts are making a lasting impact.
02
Feeling Empowered & Confident
You approach each day with clarity and confidence, equipped with tools and strategies that truly support your loved one’s growth. As you see their progress—however big or small—you’re reminded of their potential and your ability to guide and uplift them. Each moment of success, big or small, fuels your belief in what’s possible for both of you and the person you're here for.
03
Showing Up As Your Best Self
You wake up feeling ready to prioritize your own well-being, knowing that your mental and physical health are essential to supporting your loved one. With renewed clarity and confidence, you approach each day with purpose and creativity, deepening your connection and fostering meaningful growth. Course Feedback
From a Speller & Foundations in Apraxic Autism Course Participant
We asked this during one of the course reflections. The answer says so much about why this kind of learning matters. When staff really understand the person they’re supporting—it makes all the difference.
Question: When do you feel your best mentally and physically? Are there certain aspects of your routine or environment that support or hinder this?
Answer:
“I feel my best when I can express myself and when my staff understand who I really am. I also love the thrill of adventures in nature to feel in alignment. Routine is helpful until we get stagnant. Keep my mind and body engaged for optimal outcomes.”

Through my own journey, I’ve read/listened to so many self-development books/podcasts, put in the work of therapy, sat with myself and called myself out on bullshit excuses and limiting thought patterns. I’ve done the work and continue to do it every.single.day. I am in no way perfect or have I “reached” my full potential. I that we, as humans, can be forever learning and growing. What we often forget is that we need to do that personally as well, in order to show up as our best selves for those we support and love, and any other occupational roles you may have in life (parent, friend, spouse, fur-parent, plant-parent, haha whatever it is!). I know that courses can be taken and never truly implemented and I want you to really reap all the benefits of understanding the topics by TAKING ACTION and implementing them confidently! I’m in this for you and with you.

Yes, let me start by saying I’ve poured my heart and passion into this project, and will continue to do so to make a positive impact. I know the positive changes that can happen as I’ve seen through my own journey and others I’ve already mentored and empowered. With that said, I offer a satisfaction guarantee. If at any time in the first 3 modules, you feel that we are not in alignment and you’ve put in the required work up until module 3, we will please reach out to us via email and we can discuss options.

Yes! We love supporting clinicians who want to deepen their understanding of apraxia and motor-based support.
If you’d like CEU credits, you can receive them by enrolling in one month of our Tier 2 membership, which includes a call with Erin for assessment & review. After completing the assessment, you will receive your Foundations in Apraxic Autism Certificate which can be kept for record keeping when renewing your CEUs.
You’ll find step-by-step details on how to do this once you’re inside the course.
If you have questions before signing up, don’t hesitate to reach out!
Important Note:
If you haven’t caught the gist yet that I like to challenge the “standardized” norms and expectations, here’s me telling you straight up… I don’t look for stamps of approval from governing boards just to hook a sale. I’m here to share what I know to be beneficial and have SEEN FIRSTHAND over and over and over, effectively support non-speaking autistic individuals. I’ve gotten feedback from those I serve that these strategies are one of the few supports that feel meaningful and supportive.
SO, with that said, we are not accredited with any governing body. I highly recommend you reading into the fine lines of what actually qualifies as CEU’s for your state. Majority of the states allow any course that has some sort of assessment component at the end - and we do (see below link)*.
* Check out this PDF from NBCOT and scroll to #19 & #20 for more details.
** Also, click here for California's Board of OT website explaining that a course does not need to be approved specifically by anyone in order to count towards credits.
Of course read into the details of the specific state you’re in, but I can almost promise you, you likely don’t need any stamp of approval for it to count - learning is learning, why should any single governing body be able to define what that is? You’re a well rounded clinician, trust your gut on what resonates with you and what you implement in your practice to make positive impact on the community you serve.

Hey there, I’m Erin Clarelli…
I created this course because I'm passionate about transforming the way we show up for neurodivergent individuals—and ourselves. Get ready to level up not only how you support the autistic apraxic individual(s) in your life, but also how you show up in your day to day. At the heart of my mission is a deep commitment to embracing neurodiversity and empowering every individual I encounter, especially those within the nonspeaking, minimally, and unreliably speaking autistic communities. No more settling for the status quo—we're here to challenge the norm and pioneer a new approach to supporting and caring for these individuals.
I'm a Fierce Advocate and Ally in This Community...
My goal? To revolutionize the healthcare and education system that is long overdue for a change. How do we make that change? Through reprogramming old beliefs and improving our consistent daily actions.
Parents and caregivers of apraxic and autistic individuals are often left out of the conversation— or handed outdated, one-size-fits-all strategies that miss the mark. My mission? To help rewrite the script for parents and caregivers supporting apraxic and autistic individuals, because the current system? It’s overdue for a serious upgrade.
Real change starts with unlearning what we’ve been told and building daily rhythms that reflect trust, connection, and compassion. I created this course to do just that. It’s a self-paced, perspective-shifting journey packed with everything I wish families had from the start.
Inside, we’ll rethink what meaningful support looks like. You’ll gain the clarity, confidence, and real-world tools to advocate more powerfully, connect more deeply, and support your loved one in a way that actually works—for them and for you.
Together, we’re creating a new path forward for our families, our communities, and the next generation.
Let’s make meaningful change, one empowered caregiver at a time.
