Intentional Motor Coaching
In The Moment Support for Apraxic Autism Families
Intentional Motor Workouts are designed for families who want to go deeper into movement-based support and do it with guidance, not guesswork.
These live, virtual sessions allow our support team to observe your child and guide you through real-life motor challenges as they happen. You’ll learn how to break down movements, coach your child’s body in the moment, and adjust your support based on what you’re seeing and feeling together.
For many families, this is the next step after coaching, a more immersive experience that pairs real-time observation with hands-on practice.
During our Intentional Motor Workouts, your coach will observe and support you in real time as you support your apraxic loved one’s body through motor tasks.
What to Expect
Our virtual Intentional Motor support package includes:
5 intentional motor sessions with you and your apraxic loved one (50 minutes each)
These are live Google Meet video sessions where your coach will guide you through setting up a motor routine or working through a task. They will be able to watch what’s happening in real time, which allows them to help you adjust your support in the moment and coach you if any challenges arise.5 caregiver-only consults (30 minutes each)
These follow-up calls are for parents, CRPs, or team members to reflect, plan, and process, without the individual needing to be present. This is where you can ask questions, clarify strategies, and prepare for the next workout. The individual is welcome to join, as long as everyone feels they are able to show up best for learning and discussion.3 personalized video feedback reflections
Submit a video between sessions, and your designated coach will review and send tailored feedback to keep progress moving forward.Google Classroom access
All your session summaries, video recordings, handouts, and resources are stored here, so your entire support team can stay aligned.Support between sessions
You’ll have access to your coach via email, text, and classroom to keep the work going between calls.
Why IM Workouts Are So Beneficial to Families
Sometimes, the most helpful support comes in the middle of the moment, not before or after. We work through foundational movements patterns and evolve from there to meet the specific needs of your loved one. This isn’t a cookie cutter workout program, we can promise you that! In fact, we don’t want it to be that way, because then things become automatic, which is exactly the opposite of intentional movements!
Intentional Motor Workouts are designed to give you exactly that: live, guided coaching during movement tasks that challenge your child’s body and nervous system.
When our coaches are able to observe what's unfolding in real time—how your child is responding, how their body is moving, where the breakdown is happening—it allows them to offer highly specific, in-the-moment strategies that are often hard to revisit later through discussion alone.
Here’s How To Get Started
Not sure if IM Workouts are the best fit for your family? That’s exactly what our free intro call is for. You don’t have to decide on the best package right now—we’ll figure that out together.
In this free 15-minute call, Erin will:
Learn more about your loved one, your family, and your current needs
Talk through what this type of support could look like
Answer your questions and help identify the best next step
Who This Is For

Frequently Asked Questions
-
All calls are held via secure Google Meet video link. You’ll receive the link in your confirmation email. No account is needed to join.
-
You don’t need to have everything perfectly set up, these sessions are designed to meet you right where you are. That said, there are a few things that can help us get the most out of your Intentional Motor Workout:
Choose a space where you and the individual is comfortable moving
Have a few items nearby that you typically use during movement (e.g., chair, step stool, cushion, preferred fidgets or sensory supports)
Bring any specific routines or challenges you’d like to work through
Make sure your device is positioned so we can clearly see your child’s body and the interaction space
After your intro call or first session, we will guide you through what to focus on and how to set up your space based on what we observe and work through. You’ll never be expected to figure it all out on your own, this is a collaborative process from the very start.
-
Yes, for Intentional Motor Workouts, the individual is present during the bi-weekly workout sessions. These are live, interactive video calls where we observe and support you and the individual in real time as they move through routines, transitions, or other motor-based tasks. We will guide you through how to support their body as challenges arise, helping you adjust in the moment.
There are also separate non-movement focused consult calls included in the package. Those sessions offer space to reflect, ask questions, and plan ahead.
-
Yes, absolutely. If you'd like a CRP, co-parent, or another team member to join the call with you, just let us know and we can share the log on link!

What Makes This So Effective
The power of this model is in the timing.
When Erin can observe your child in action—attempting a motor task, navigating a transition, or responding to a prompt—she can help you understand what’s working, what’s getting in the way, and how to shift your approach in real time.
These aren’t hypotheticals. You’ll be working through actual challenges, with feedback and guidance that adapts to what’s unfolding in the moment.
-
Caregiver coaching calls are powerful, personalized video chats, focused on reflection, strategy, and support without your loved one actively moving and working out, and sometimes not even present for our calls.
Intentional Motor Workouts add a second layer: interactive, movement-based sessions where your loved one is present, and where coaching happens in real time.
Both are grounded in the same apraxia-affirming philosophy. Which one is right for your family depends on what kind of support you need right now.
